I’ve been on the hunt and allowing space for the next collection to come to me. Summer is right in front of us as is our annual trip to the beach. I’ve been channeling that as I started to paint play in the few minutes I’ve had the past few weeks.

Each year, my husband and I talk a walk on the beach before the island wakes up. It’s usually just us and a few fishermen. Those mornings feel like this beach polaroid painting I did; soft & quiet. There’s something about starting your day with your feet in the sand and the kiss of cold salt water that splashes up your ankles. It’s a reset that seems to last us all summer long. We look forward to it every year.

I don’t have a name for this next collection. I’m sure that will come to me too but as I continue to paint and channel this vacation, I can feel it forming in the summery soft hues I’m gravitating towards. Who knows what will inspire me this next vacation but I’m keeping myself open and present for it.
